I personally don't like fingerpicks, I think you have better control and dexterity with just your fingertips and/or fingernails. Thumbpicks I don't mind as much, because you can also sometimes use them as regular flatpicks, and it makes switching from flatpicking to fingerpicking quick and easy.

Just one guys opinion though.
