get the notes right. its easiest really if u play power chords that have some of the solo's notes in them at the proper times during the solo. that way u cant go wrong. or play power chords whose notes will match up an octave lower than the soloing guitar. easy if u listen to a good metallica solo they do it a lot. it sounds realy smooth too
