I suggest for that price, a 70's silverface fender super reverb or twin. Although its not as nice as a blackface era fender amp, it still sounds pretty good and i right in your budget. It can also be modded to blackface very very easily. However, you will need a good pedal to get some good crunch, but with that said its smoken good rig.
