It does kinda seem pointless sometimes. It took me most of the first day just to teach my dad how to double click an icon properly.
For some reason he just couldn't hold the mouse still and click it twice no matter how hard he tried, so I had to explain it like you would to a little kid. 'put this finger here.. now put this finger here.. ok, now hold it really steady and double click... no you have to click faster than that... nope that's too fast and you moved the mouse again... try again... don't touch the screen with your fingers cause you'll get it all dirty... try again... nope the icon is this thing right here.... don't touch the screen... ok try again... no not the right button, the left one... '
Meantime my brain is screaming 'arrrghh arghhhh arghhhhh!!!'

The next day, it's like starting from scratch. He says 'what's an icon?'
'um.. it's this thing right here dad.. remember I showed you this yesterday... no?... ok, you have to hold the mouse like this and double... don't touch the screen... double click... no that's too fast... no that's the right button you want to click the left button.. now hit it twice... you moved the mouse again...'

Next day it's like repeato vision all over again...
