If Crate ever did anything right... it was making the Blue Voodoo series. I've played them along with other highend amps and they're real nice tube amps. to get more bottom end... Well, EQ it so that your mids are up and your bass is up. If that doesn't give you a satisfactory outcome there are a few other things you can do... Play on your bridge pickup with your tone knob cranked to the bass side... This works in most cases... You can also go out and by an EQ pedal from Boss... and EQ it to boost your bass... The last thing would be to switch to a higher gauge of strings... I have a set of GHS Zakk Wylde Boomers (10-70 I think) on my Double Fat Strat and it kicks like a Bass. Those are a few things you can do... WARNING!!! If you choose to change your strings... especially to the HIGH HIGH gauge ZW Boomers... you will need a set-up. If you don't you will find that your action will go to hell and your trem will fly forward.... and your neck will bend like hell. It works awesome though... if you like to play in drop d and don't do a lot of speed stuff... I recommend switching to Boomers. They will strenghten your hands up real nice too.
