Any style can be played thru any amp. But Lord's got it right...it's about TONE. I have two amps...a Marshall with a tube pre-amp, and a solid state Fender Deluxe 900. The difference is night and day, BUT they both have their good qualities. The Marshall is definitely a little crisper, but the Fender has "timbre" settings that can change the sound qualities of the amp. I can slave the two amps together, so I have the best of both worlds.
