Just yesterday I was reading about Son House, great Mississipi delta blues player. He talks about back in the 20s when he was playing with Willie Brown, there was this kid who kept hanging around wanting to play with them and they kept telling him to go away because he weren't no good. Well this kid ends up running away from home and returning about 6 months later with a guitar on his back.
Again he kept pestering them to play and they wouldn't until one day they did, and he blew them away, this was Robert Johnson.
He may have sold his soul to the devil, but he gave his heart back to the Lord when he was dying.
