Ok I want to emulate that Metallica Heavy Metal 80's sound with good lead and rhythm sounds say song like Master of Puppets and I really want to get a good lead sound for solos such as Crazy Train, Eruption, Surfing with The Aliens. But the problem is my gear is not good enough and I want to get a better Amp and a better Guitar.

Here is my gear so far:

Squire strat Guitar $99
Squire Amp 15 Watts
Boss Mega Distortation MD-2 Pedel
Vox Wah Wah

I would like a AMP that is 25 to 50 Watts and no more than $500. Heard Marshalls are good.

And a guitar with a Floyd Rose Locking Tremelo with good lead and rhythm sounds, with pick-ups you guys might able to suggest. No more that $600.

So please help this Newbie in deciding what to get whos been playing for 2 years.

Also what is the difference between Combo amps and Stacks. And should I get a tube amp or some other and should I get a tube screamer for solos.

And how can I really get that heavy clean distorted sound like Master of Puppets
