"wake up kids it's half past noon'
ain't nothin changing but the date"
If you're an Aerosmith fan you probably already know the connection I made... But those are the opening lines to their song "Eat the Rich". But the similarities thankfully stopped there. It has a strange rythym to it... as I read it I had a hard time coming up with a melody, or a rythm to go along with it. I can clearly see the message that you're trying to convey which is good. You didn't overshoot by going into more needless details... which is good. You tried to stay with a ryhming scheme which is good... however it fluctuates. The words "for no reason" almost, but not completly became monotonous in the lyrics. As I read it I couldn't imagine it being more than a 2 and a half to 3 minute song. Also the chorus is only used once, generally a chorus is defined as something that will repeat atleast twice in a song... So you have more of a Verse-Verse-Verse-Outro type of a structure. It is a decent song that would be better understood with music to it.
