I know my thoughts may not be echoed here, but I believe that all starter pack things bad quality...when I worked in a store, I didnt find a single decent guitar in a starter thingy...Look at a Yamaha Pacifica 112, those are really good guitars for the price you pay...and you'll still be playing it in a years time.
