I can't offer any advice other than to update your drivers. I disabled standby mode on my computer because I never use it.

Stand buy mode on both of my last PCs killed em dead. Had to cold boot to get em working again. That would be OK if it wasn't for the fact that if you didn't shut one of them down you had to wait 4h before you could turn it back on again.

yeah Dr.Simon is right about the fact that while your pc may (or may not be) compatible with your old games and stuff, it's also compatible with just about every virus out there. My friend with a pc once told me he got some virus called adware, basically he kept on getting pop-ups even when his internet browser was closed.
