I would pay 800-1000 USD for it...it's worth probably between 1000 and 2000 USD though... maybe more depending on how bad of shape it is in. If the frets are completly worn down, or the pickups make excessive noise, or there is faulty wiring, or the neck is cracked...so on,so on... but like the other dude said, it's only worth what somone else will pay for it. I'm in the market for a beat up strat, but that's about all I would pay for one. The '70s strats really aren't that great as the last guy also said... but they're vintag instruments and people will pay money for them. I suggest looking on Ebay to see what people are getting for that era of strats... it should be about hte same as the '74 to '79 strats.
