Ok, i was determined to learn these modes again so i pulled out my modes sheet again of the fingerings and i read somewhere that the 1st note is the root note determining what scale, or key, whatever u wanna call it is, like D Dorian or w/e. U can move these modes up and down the fingerboard right? So the root note determines if its A Dorian, B Dorian, ect..? So its possible to change the scale thing by moving it to the correct note on the low e string? Does that make any sense?
