I play at a party with my band on the 28th , and it will be an outside show with im thinking 30-50 people and my drummer wont be mic'd for the PA but the vocals of course will but i will be playing out of a marshall JCM 2000 half stack 100 watt. And i was wondering, do you think i will need to mic my amp because im sure everyone will be able to hear it without being mic'd but if i move in front of it during the concert it may get muffled and if i mic'd it the sound would be more full and coming from both sides and i wouldnt drown out the drums or bass, so what do you think? also i get my paycheck tommorow of $260 and i was either gonna by a $109 amp mic or a $100 vocal processor. SO i need to know if i will need to mic it. Im thinking yes. oh and the rest of the paycheck goes toward somethin i need to pay off.
