From what I can see on the Musican's Friend website, it looks like the GRX has a regular old Strat style vibrato which means that you're only going to be able to get away with subtle stuff; if you dive bomb, you will go out of tune.

I really like the ibanez grx when I tried it compared to that strat.

Personally, I really dislike Ibanez guitars and basses but if that's what feels best to you, then that's what you should get.
