It is funny, I'm form Newcastle and currently living in Iowa 4000 miles away. I have to smile when I hear Dire Striates singing about "The Spanish City" which used to be an amusement park in Whittley (sic) bay (AKA whibbely Bat) just up the coast from us. Of cause no one here knows that !! Tee Hee !!

I also think "The Tunnel of Love" has one of the best bits of guitar playing in ever. When Mark Knofler (sic) just shuts up and lest the piano take over imparts, to me, the feeling of being totally overwhelmed that I used to get when I was first dating my wife !
