While I don't know this mans feelings,I think his intention is not to encourage better grades,but maintain a 'step above' her.Getting good grades is wonderful...but his standards are not her standards.If she gets a B- average then thats hers alone and will not make him happy.

I know their types...Good grades,clean room,absolute submission to his 'good' jugment... here is what you may hear "yeah,better keep it clean...if I find out your grades drop again,your not leaving the house,understand!?Go to your room!"...

A proper response to this attitude is "go to #@&*%& hell,talk to me like that again and I won't do #*@&!!!" with a strong authoritive voice.Keep a determined,serious face around him...he needs to respect you.

I give respect where it is deserved....If you don't stand up for yourself you will be a floor mat.

This is a touchy subject I feel very strongly about.I'll participate at a minimum.
