however I have rewire everything before I have a chance to do anymore recording as I have a bunch of kit turning up at the end of the week.

Id go with the AKG through the Avalon and an SM57 through the desk as a comparison both into the MOTU 828 for A/D conversion. I will go 24/96 so I will keep 'em short !
