Yep I dabble in the classical exercises. Allegro by Mauro Giuliani was the piece that really got my middle and ring fingers (picking hand) into the mix...before I was limited to thumb and index only. Of course you gotta love Francisco Tarrega as well...who hasn't learned Estudio in Em right? I've gotten several tab books from book stores and guitar shops that I've used.
And as far as playing classical electric...they're are no rules. I play the intro riff to Malaguena distorted on my electric. Or with Allegro mentioned above, I recorded an electric lead on top of the exercise to great effect.
