I'm a classical player; most people here don't know that because its' not a topic that brings much interest. I'll be going to college for music performance, my only real questions are "Which college?" and "Jazz or classical?". I exceed all the requirements for New England Conservatory in jazz, but I'm considering pursuing NEC with the classical, as Eliot Fisk teaches there. I don't have my portfolio complete yet with classical, though; getting into NEC is quite a feat, it's arguably in the top five music schools in the country. If I don't make it into NEC, I'll be able to make it into University of Indiana-Bloomington, aka "The Factory", also a very prestigous school, and then go to NEC for my masters.

I've been hauling serious ass for since I can remember, and have a large enough portfolio of compositions (solo piano, guitar, symphonies, concertos) that I could major in that as well (but I won't).

Who are my favorites in classical music? Right now I'm more into Romantic music, with Ravel currently at the top of my list. I absolutely love Chopin and Debussy, but I also love the new guys like Phillip Glass. His work with Ravi Shankar is flawless.
