yes, an acoustic/electric can be plugged into a regular electric guitar amp. Acoustic amps speakers are designed to be flat so they don't color the sound any. A keyboard amp would also work well for an acoustic/electric since they are also designed to reproduce the natural tone of whatever is plugged into them.
