I have a 40W amp, but when I put both master and volume on minimum, it's really destorted (dont know the right word)... The sound gets better if I turn the volume up, but we have a real noicey house, so cant put it up that high... Any sugjestions on how to get the sound right?

I have a Samick Sm-10 (ac 220v, 50/60hz) :)
