I had a G-Major, and it is an awsome piece of gear! It sounds very good, and is very tweakable, so you can get it to sound exactly like you want. If you could swing it, I would suggest the Voodoo Labs Ground Control footcontroller instead of the G-Minor. It's a little pricey, but it will allow you to use the G-Major to it's fullest potential. I got rid of my G-Major, because as little as I use effects, I couldn't justify keeping it. Now I just use pedals for my effects needs. I also have a PODxt and footcontroller that is pretty good in the effects loop, for using just the effects. I mainly use it for quieter recording though (which it's great at if you have patience). I don't have any experience with the other gear you listed, but if you're just wanting to use effects and not the amp models (why on earth would you, you've got a Marshall :confused: ), and don't want to spend the money on the G-major and a good footcontroller, I would probably suggest the Boss GT-8.
