Dude if you're a good guitarist its alright if you show off your chops a little, but I wouldn't try any "tricks" just to impress the audience. If you start going over the top like that it won't be long til guitarist everywhere will great you with, "Hey wanka' how are you?" Just headbang a little and have a good time.
