TSR = Tip Ring Shield: normally carrying either stereo (two unbalanced) signals or balanced mono. Guitar is unbalanced HiZ signal.

This box should be fine as long as you use both unbalanced "in" to unbalanced "out". You only really get problems when you go form balanced to unbalanced which results in a signal level drop.
