Well, no question - I'm a strange ol' cat...

I bought my first guitar for my 16th birthday, and except for a couple of breaks during my 20's, I've had at least one guitar ever since. When I was 19, I had to decide if I was good enough to risk starving in order to 'make it' in The Biz. I decided to get a day job, and continue music as a hobby. The word 'amateur' means someone who loves doing something without expecting to be paid for it. That's my music.

As for the rest, I've been working in one technical field or another since the early 70's, so what I do now is a good fit. I still jam with a band of (much) younger players a few times a month to keep my hand in. There's always an open mic session going somewhere in town. Life is good.
