Yes, they pretty much did. They were both Greek. Phrynis was the first expressive/freeform musician and Pythagoras was actually a mathematician who studied the numerical relations between notes and the divisions of a stretched string. He's the reason we have standard tuning, frets, and harmonics.

i mean i dono if he drank, maybe only acid, but i would be up for anythin with the dude cus Black Sabbath really rules :rolleyes: (if i mixed up the dudes name and if he is really alive and if he didnt play ever with black sabbath i apoligize now cus i get things really confused)
