The Peavey Classic series is great for that bluesy rock kind of tone. They are all tube amps and come in a variety of sizes. I have the Classic 50 2x12 combo and it is great for a variety of tones. It sounds decent at bedroom volumes, but really shines when cranked! An older Fender Princeton Reverb would be a good amp as well. Throw a tube screamer (or alike) in front of the amp and you've got it.
