Dude, I still have an old Revox A77 real to real, which kicks ass !! And, for that a Tascam 424 mk III which I still use as a mixing desk, well new is not always better !

As far as OS9 is concerned IMHO it is better than XP by a long shot. The system I have has massive system resources (1 GB ram, 400 MB FSB, 1.4 Gig P-IV) and keeps crashing (like 3 times a day) !

Having got like 2-3Ks worth of music software (Autotune, Wave lab, Sonar, Waves Native Gold Plugins, Re-valver, Pyro, etc etc) Im loathed to move platforms however this machine is useless for tracking ! Hence the D1200 which is limited to 24/48 but is rock solid !

Once day when Im rich I will swap over to a G5 running Logic, however that comes in at a minimum of about 4 K !
