Recently I decided to play in B (for Sevendust). I figured a high guage would be a good idea. I got steel string acoustic string and put them on my electric, 12s (just to test out the guage.)

My question is are there any standards or conversions for string gugages with alternate tunings?
Like I used lights (10s) when I play in standard. I'm sure there is a mathematical way in order to figure what guage string would give me the same feel I get in E using lights when I'm playing in B.
Does anyone know how to go about doing this?
I know people mostly likly just use trila nd error but I was just curious.
