Hit the little "Quote" button in the bottom right hand corner of the post you want to quote (right next to "Edit"), and vBulletin will take care of the rest. Enter your comments a space or two after the quote, which will be wrapped in [ QUOTE ] text [ /QUOTE ] vBulletin tags.
