Just because they don't play speed or thrash does'nt mean they don't shred.....Read the new guitar world (sept.04) and see what i'm saying satch gave lessons to alex scholnick,and kirk hammett they were on the scene right after eddie van halen in '77' and he sent thousands of players back to the woodshed to get there chops in shape.But i suppose he doesn't shred either.When yngwie came out they were calling him the swedish van halen....but hey we all have a diffrence in taste......You don't have to shred for an entire song to be a shredder.....check out g3 live in denver to see what i mean................peace :)
