In this seven-part classic rock course, Anders takes some of the most useful ideas in rock soloing and puts them to work inside original practice tunes, so you’re not just memorizing exercises—you’re hearing how each technique functions in real music.

You’ll begin by climbing the neck with small pentatonic micro-positions, using bends and shifting shapes to create a natural rise in energy. From there, you’ll connect the fretboard diagonally, making it easier to see how the same notes repeat across different positions while creating smoother, more vocal-sounding lines. You’ll also explore melodic sequences, a classic device that can transform simple scale fragments into dramatic, memorable phrases.

The course then pushes further into technique and musicianship. You’ll work on efficient right-hand mechanics for fast triplets and sweeping, shred-inspired licks, while learning how to keep those ideas relaxed and musical. You’ll discover how chord-tone soloing can make your leads follow the harmony more closely, and how blending major and minor notes creates the bittersweet tension heard throughout blues, country, and classic rock.

Each tutorial breaks an original song into clear sections, reviews the complete arrangement, and ends with a full-speed performance and backing-track jam.
