2 The First Guitarist To Record a Wah Wah

We were fortunate enough to interview this man at Dunlop, Del Casher, the first man to record a wah wah pedal with guitar. Previously it had been designed for use with a trumpet. As the story goes, Del told Frank Zappa about this new gizmo, and Frank told a guy named Jimi Hendrix, who then went down to Manny's Music in NY in 1967 and picked one up, the rest is history. 4 Free Lesson: Melodic Metal Thirds

Bands like Iron Maiden do this a lot, but also more contemporary death metal bands like Children of Bodom and In Flames.
