How Many New Songs Can You Learn This Weekend?

Hey Guitar Players,

We hope everyone's summer is going well. We sure have been busy here trying to get some really killer new song lessons for you just in time for summer! Below are some of our newest ones and I challenge YOU to see how many of them you can learn this weekend!

Jimi Hendrix - Slow Time Blues
We have another Jimi Hendrix song for you all, only this time it's an instrumental studio blues jam. "Slow Time Blues" was recorded in 1970 and has the line-up of Hendrix along with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox improvising on an unconventional blues form.

Son House - Death Letter Blues
There's blues, then there's blues! In this set of lessons we're going down to the Delta to learn "Death Letter Blues" by one of the true legends of the genre, Son House. This is pure, raw, intense blues from the heart by one of the original founders of blues music.

The Bangles - If She Knew What She Wants
We know what you want: a melodic hit song that has style from the 80s! This era was a ton of fun, and the fabulous new wave girl group The Bangles made it even better with 'If She Knew What She Wants".

Duran Duran - Skin Trade
Here's a great song that's synonymous with the 1990s: "Runaway Train", by Soul Asylum. The band won a Grammy for this in 1994, and in these twelve guitar lessons Douglas Showalter will teach you all the details of this powerful acoustic guitar based tune.

Charlie Christian

Three years. In three short years, this amiable, smiling quiet man quite literally changed jazz guitar and the way it was played for decades to come. Despite having a short lived career, what Charlie Christian accomplished in just three years in the spot-light remains a jaw dropping example of prime jazz guitar. Now for most of us rock fans, jazz is a four-letter word.
