Login problems generally fall into one of three categories.
Situation 1: Bad Password
Situation 2: Login Succeeds, Then Asked To Login Again
Situation 3: Cookie Error
Use the three Situation descriptions below to find the solution to your login issue.
Situation 1: Bad Password
Symptoms: You try to log in, and get this error message:
You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and
try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive.
Fix: We recommend that you reset your password.
Click here to request a password reset from our automated system.
If you have trouble with our automated system, please contact us and request a new password. This will take generally up to 24 hours to process, but the option is available if you have trouble with the automated system.
Situation 2: Login Succeeds, Then Asked To Login Again
Symptoms:
You try to login, and get a "success message" but then you are asked to log in again. Over and over.
Fix: Check if you are running CA Security "EZ Firewall." If so, configure your program as follows:
Open your CA firewall program "EZ Firewall."
Go to Privacy Control.
In the Cookie Control section click "custom."
Follow the prompts to add our site: www.guitartricks.com
Situation 3: Cookie Error
Symptoms: You try to log in, and get this error message:
ERROR: You are attempting to login with cookies disabled.
Please enable cookies for this website and login again.
Fix: Login on most any website requires that you "enable cookies" on your browser. Use the instructions below to enable cookies on your browser.
If you are using Internet Explorer, check your settings here:
Tools > Internet Options > Privacy should be set to "medium high" or lower
Tools > Internet Options > Security should be set to "medium" or lower
If you are using Mozilla Firefox, check your settings here:
Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > check "allow sites to set cookies"
