By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Well i don't even remember joining this site; it was a time when dinosaurs still roamed the earth... But i think my time is coming to an end. In september I'm off to uni and i don't reckon I'll be on much after that, if at all....

Its a sad time...

I originally signed up just to be able to hear audio samples in the lessons. I usually don't deal with forums, but something made an exception about this one. People are nice and helpful. I've got intentions on sticking around.

I havent been here long, but i wont be around that much longer, alot of stuff in new stuff is happening in my life

i'll miss the board too. Its better then any other ive been on.
