Definetly the Epi, especially the hummingbird. I have a Fender acoustic and want to get rid of it, I hate the sound. It's not crisp and clear, its really muddy.

I would go with fender. That is, as long as you don't mean squire by fender. Between a squire and epi the epi would be better.

i have an elec/acoustic fender not sure of the model name.
The sound is great on it deep and toney like.
Never tried an epi anything tho,
all i know is that mine sounded better with .12 strings when i could barely play barre chords than with the .10's i can play very smoothly. So i m ight have to go back to .12's
i would try all the guitars possible from diff shops. specially if u live in a country where theres good music stores

i used to have a fender acoustic and they aint that good, or at least mine wasnt! when i changed/upgraded it i played loads of acoustics from fenders/ epis/ arias/ ibenez/ etc... all in the price range of £200-800. by far the best guitar i played (and the one i bought) was a brand id never heard of- Crafter. the best bit was it was one of the cheaper of all the ones i tried
