I am seriously looking at getting a Norman 12-string acoustic. I loved the awesome sound, and best thing was that it was in my price range. It is solid top, sides, and back, and stayed in great tune the entire time I was playing it. What are some things to look out for on 12-strings. I know there is alot of strain on the neck, so any certain type of wood better than the other, for necks?

I tune down to a D and use a capo on the 2nd fret. Cary a pack of replacement strings !!!

Ya, I don't think I'm ready to change the strings on a 12 string. Phew, now that would take a while. lol.

Its OK, it will also hone your sense of pitch quite well. After a couple of years I was tuning a 12 to its self just listening to open strings !

You do spend a lot of time tuning initially !!

I'm thinking about getting a Takamini EG335SC 12-string. Tuning down a whole step will be no problem since that's where I'm usually at. Will any capo work or do 12-strings require a larger capo?
