When I lived in Illinois my friend and I would see this band that would play at the bar, we basically lived in. They were the Good Year Pimps then changed to The Six Million Dollar Band and now they have changed finally to THE PIMPS. They ran into alot of hassle with the name when the started recording. Anyway they rock. They play alot down in Madison and if you get a chance and you see there name somewhere go and see them. A good way to hear what they are like is on the soundtrack Mission Impossible II. They recorded one of their songs on there. Stu and the other guys rock you have to hear them.

Ha -- I went to high school with Stu, he drew a skull on the back of my jacket in electronics class.
They're a fun bar band - Stu still works at the local music shop here in Rockford, IL - ran into him the other day - giving lessons during the week and then jamming on the 'ends. Pretty cool guys, I have got one of their CD's and the recording is a tad bright (studio problem) but other than that they rock.
Small, small world.

They're a local band in St. Louis, and have played many shows with The Pimps. They've been on tour with Dust for Life and opened up for Ho-Down (a festival put on by a local radio station with an assload of national acts).
It's great music.

I grew up in Rockford. We use to go to Hard Times and listen to the Pimps play. Do you know if they got their web site up and running again??
