Hi I'm new here. I've played slide in dropped D for over 35 years. Anyone else use this great tuning? I only lower the bass string. Check out my tune Storm a Comin' if you'd like to hear where I've taken it. This was played on my old Strat.

All the best from way down in Australia.

Never used slide in drop D, only Open tunings and sometimes in standard tuning.

Man, that sounds TOTALLY cool... Do you have any tab of your favorite licks? People tell me you can only play slide in an open tuning (and I don't believe it )
