An question came to my mind; how much do you guys (and ladies) play guitar per day?
I play about an hour per day, but that's the average. Somedays I may play longer ("record" is five hours) and unfortunately there is days when I don't play at all - but not many of those, though.

I usually just play when I feel like it. My equipment's on 24/7 & I pick up the guitar and play to midi files whenever the urge hits.
On average it's probably about 3 - 5 hours but it's spread throughout the whole day. Other times (like now) I get burned out and go for days or weeks without touching the guitar.

But i do play every day i haven't gone a 24 hour period without playing in.....i dunno, it's been awhile; like when i first started or something like that. peace out

I eat, sleep, breathe, and, poop my guitar. It's more like an addiction than anything. There is so much to learn, it just never gets old. I play on average from when I get out of work till I go to bed.

On average I'd say I play 2 hours (usually 3 or 4 on the weekend). But I never play when I don't feel like it; I don't make it a chore. I remember hearing Tom Morrello say in an interview that he played strict 8 hour a day practice sessions, and that if he didn't complete it down to the last second he felt guilty, like how a runner feels guilty when he or she doesn't run. I don't think this is a healthy way to look at playing. You need to find inspiration for your playing as well as just practicing your scales, etc.

No less than 30 minutes per day. Usually closer to an hour or more probably. I just grab it whenever I feel like playing. Usually after I listen to a CD, I'll want to play one of the songs I just heard, so I'll look up a tab and spent some time working on that song. Man, playing guitar is so much fun. What would I do without it?
