Hello I wsa just thinking aobut putting something up with some settings I found usefull when trying to get some pink floyd sound.
I use a Marshall avt 50

Settings used in Time
Clean:
Gain: 5
Low: 6
Treble: 9

Distortion used in solo:
Gain: 10
Low: 10
Middle: 0
Treble: 4
Reverb: 10

Settings used in Money the solo is the same settings as Time but I find lowering the reverb to like 7 is good also depends on the volum your playing at.

I am looking everywere to get the sound of Comfortably numb. He plays the same sound in the quite little solo thing in money. After the first solo it gets quite he plays little bits of solo. I want thqat sound so much.

i also wanted to know what anyone would recomend for getting this one sound... go to the guitar trick section and go to steve Vai. Then go down to the fifth newest entree Beethovens 5th symphony. Listen to it I want that smooth distortion like that. I also note Steve vai didnt' write the cover of the beethoven song.

For the Steve Vai sounds, use a guitar with humbuckers, and crank everything. Make sure your sound has a lot of bottom, almost to the point where it is muddy. I cant really suggest anything else cause I dot know what kinda pedal you have or anything.
