Has anyone heard of these guys a Friend of mine showed me a DVD of them and it totally rocked. I want to find a CD but don't even know where to begin to look. What do you guys have on them?

I have their live album.
Their guitarist John PETRUCCI has written the 'rock discipline' book and video. They have just released 'six degrees of inner turbulence' and fans say it's their best effort...

I have yet to see the dvd, but a friend of mine has it, and he says (being the bass player in my band) that the bass player plays a solo that's so fast that you can't even see his fingers! I thought you could only do that on guitar...

If you dig Petrucci's style then go check out his side band Liquid Tension Experiement. I believe the band is Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater. They have Tony Levin of King Crimson playing bass. The music is all instrumental and is quite amazing.
