Why So Few Country Song lessons

Hey Guitar Tricks Guys, I get your emails and have the very special offer currently available on joining up BUT. . . After looking at all the songs you listed in your latest offer and that you are paying the big bucks for, there are only one or two country songs. What's up with this? Country is so popular these days and I love it too, why are you not getting a lot more country songs to give lessons on? Am I the only 'country' guy out here, I doubt it seriously. I'd be willing to bet you that there's hundreds of guys and gals out here that are not subscribing because you are not getting any new country songs.

Please comment Guitar Tricks Guys.

Hi peaceiscoming,

I think it has to do with the fact that Guitartricks both has to work with requests from members here and the publishing companies which allows Guitartricks to actually learn this songs legally.

So for example: If there are a lot of members who request more rock and metal songs Guitartricks will choose those first, since those have the most requests. Also it could be that country songs are harder to get with the publishing companies.

But as I understand Guitartricks tries to keep everyone as happy as possible, being open to all suggestions. They also want to appeal as wide an audience as possible so there will always be country/blues and other songs they will teach. I agree with you that there are currently few country (and blues) songs. Mostly rock and metal now.

Hope that helps clear things up.

JJ

Hi peaceiscoming,

We just released "I Walk the Line" - Johnny Cash yesterday:

We currently have 16 country songs and are working to bring you more asap:
http://www.guitartricks.com/songs.p...t=Master&sort=5

There is a new sorting system on the songs page, be sure to click the "Master List" button to get all the songs listed. I hope we have something you like!

Thanks for your feedback JJ!
