One of my favourite instrumentals, been listening to it for many years. Nobody does it like Jeff, although i really like Roy Buchanan's version also.
I'm not qualified to comment on the technical merits of your piece, but i know what i like and i think you did a very nice rendition....especially the part between 3:00 - 3:35.....wow.
Nice chops! I always ask this question when I hear a really nice tone like that. Do you mic your amp? Or do you record direct into a Computer? If you mic your amp what kind of mic do you use? Hope I am not prying to much.
The guitar goes into a Stereo all tube pre amp, then right into the computer.
I run stereo into the computer sound card and Guitar rig is all stereo also.
Guitar Rig 3 is doing all the tones.
The pre amp gives your guitar a nice warm starting tone, but it's very clean.
All the delays distortion and effects come from guitar rig and it can do hundreds of different tones.
Thanks for the feedback. I am using Amplitube2 and The StealthPlug or I can use my GNX4. I really like the quality of that sound. Just wondering if its the preamp or guitarrig doing all the extra work? Could also be me needing to learn more about mixing my sound.... I have noticed that the guitar I use makes a big difference. Each guitar has a unique sound when recorded on the computer. I never would have thought that but it does. Speaking of Amps I just got the new Blackheart BH5H tube amp. I love it. Sorry did not mean to take over your thread. Once again nice playing and thanks again for the info.
