Jazz sound!!

Help! I own a jhonson j station, (its awesome by the way ) but i cant seem to be a able to get a decent jazz sound on it, any suggestions?

just put it on a clean channel, lay back on the highs a bit. try switching to the neck pickup on your guitar for a less bright, twangy tone.

i hate to sound dumb, but when you say neck pickup you mean, flip the switch up to rythm right?

Yeah, the pickup nearest to the neck, rather than the 'lead' pup near the bridge.

Roll off the guitar Tone control a bit too.
