Need Tuning help please!!

Ok well I am very capable of standard tuning and drop d so its not that which is confusing me but currently the song i am trying to learn is in (aadf#aa) and i dont know how to get to that from standard tuning... please help a brother out! thanx...

If I had to take a stab at it I'm guessing the two a's on top and bottom are the same octave. So from standard tuning you would go up in pitch on the low e to make it the same as the standard A. The F# is down a half step from normal so you could match it to the 4th fret on the D string. Then for the a on the next string match it to the 2nd fret on the F# and for the last one go up until you match pitch with the a above it. That might work but it seems a bit complicated. What song is it may I ask?

Well the song is called fusions by erik mongrain... he is french canadian and i fell in love with his music.. the song im learning is by far not his best but its the only one that is tabbed... have you ever heard of erik?

I believe you mean 3rd fret, good sir.

I would do it the same way as Ninja said, but just to make it a little bit easier to understand.....

E---> up
B---> down
G---> down
D---> stays the same
A---> stays the same
E---> up
