Does anyone else pick like this?

I have these wide pickups on my guitar aprox, 2 1/2"x1 1/2" and I have been able get more speed by raising my pickup hight to aprox 1/8" below my strings
and then use the top of the pichup as a stop for the tip of my pick, essentially "dragging" my pick along the top of my pickup. This seems so easy that it's almost like cheating. Am I the only one who does this?

If you've got your hand properly anchored and stable, then you shouldn't need to do that. But I guess it's down to personal taste; I personally find it annoying as hell when my pick drags across pickups (for example on most Ibanez guitars).

Doesn't make a bit of difference for me; I pick above the neck pickup.
