Tristan chord

I discovered a couple days ago that there's a chord called the Tristan chord. this fills me with a load of glee since my name is Tristan. evidently it is named after the opening chord to Wagner's opera Tristan und Isolde, which I was partly named after (partly, in that it is my father's favorite opera, and my parents were big fans of the British comedy TV show All Creatures Great and Small).

it's made up of an F, B, D# and G#. i need to use this chord more often...

here's a lengthy explaination of it.

siggy,

they didn't do it deliberately for the chord, just for the opera/literature it was in.

neither of my parents are musicians but my dad was an English major and Tristan and Isolde is considered one of the most classical romantic tragedies, it dates back to the 1200's.

Your name is Tristan? Man... my parents just gave me some dumb, over-done, dime-a-dozen name. I would've settled for **** bag as a name, at least it'd be different.

it's actually a pretty cool sounding chord... with stubby fingers like mine it's a little counterintuitive to play further up on the fretboard but it does sound pretty nice.
